Military Explorers History

Below is a timeline of Miltary Exploring since the early 1900's, and how the U.S. Military garnered its support throughout history. Today it has developed into a more academic oriented 'full-time after school' program to motivate young adults towards a possible military career choice after High School or college. Approved Military Explorer (MX) Units fall under the auspices of the U.S. Military Explorers Command (USMX) organization and operates under the auspices of the Explorers Division of Learning for Life, Inc., (an Affiliate of B.S.A.). Military preparatory type-training is further categorized by Branches. At present time, there are Army Explorer, Air Force Explorer, & Marine Explorer Units.
